Frequently asked questions

The essentials

How do I get started?

Sign in with Apple, choose a username, then start a Round or join one using an invitation. Location labels are optional during setup.

What is a Round?

A Round is a private group of up to 30 people. Members can share photo raises, raise one back, and cheer.

How do I send a raise?

Open Raises, tap Raise a Glass, take a photo, choose one or more Rounds, and send. Optional city and country labels follow your settings.

Why can’t I take or share a photo?

Check that camera access is available. If saving a raise to Photos fails, allow add-only Photos access in the Settings app. You will also need a working iCloud connection to upload.

Where is my data stored?

Shared profiles, Rounds, photos, cheers, and invitations are stored in Apple CloudKit. Sign-in details and recent cached content are also stored locally on your device.

How do notifications work?

Notifications are optional. You can enable new-raise notifications for each Round; replies to your photos can also trigger a notification.

Are there purchases or subscriptions?

No purchases or subscriptions are present in the current version of the app.

How do I contact support?

Email support@raiseaglass.uk and include a brief description of what happened, along with your device model and software version if relevant.
